Shout Out: Dodge City Calving School Team
This week’s Shout Out comes from K-State Research and Extension- Ford County agent Andrea Burns. She wrote:
“I would like to give a Shout Out to the team that helped put together the calving school in Dodge City on January 21. Offering both an in-person version following COVID-19 protocol and a virtual option took a lot of people to pull it off. This group helped with presenting, monitoring the chat box, operating the sound system and Zoom, providing a delicious boxed meal, and registration. Whether it was behind the scenes, set-up or help the day of, this meeting could not have happened without them! Hats off to Dr. AJ Tarpoff, Extension Beef Veterinarian; Elly Sneath, Meade County; Alicia Boor, Cottonwood District - Barton County; Kurt Werth, Gray County; Marty Gleason, Edwards County; DeWayne Craghead, Hodgeman County; Kalee Clemens, Clark County; and Dr. Justin Wagoner, Southwest Regional Beef Specialist. Thank you also to Brian Rees and Travis Carmichael of Lyon County for the advice and IT wisdom prior to our event! Being on a great team makes things much easier!”
Thanks to all those difference makers for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve a Shout Out for a job well done, please send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
