A Chance to Make a Difference!

Submitted by Trudy Rice

Facilitation is the art and science of helping groups achieve a goal by organizing and managing the process. Facilitative leaders have the skills, tools and awareness to draw out ideas, encourage effective discussion and guide groups to make inclusive decisions and actionable plans. The Facilitative Leadership workshop teaches facilitation tools and techniques in a supportive “learning-lab” environment.

Are you someone who would like to help groups to make collective decisions, discuss complex issues, or plan events, projects or programs effectively?

If so, apply to be selected to participate in the KSRE Facilitative Leadership workshop sponsored by Extension Administration.

• April 27-29, 2022

• Rock Springs Ranch

• Led by a team of four Extension Community Vitality Specialists from Purdue

• Registration, lodging, and meals sponsored by KSRE Extension Administration. Extension Administration is investing in this training to show their support of the need for our extension professionals to have solid facilitation skills. Following the training, a “facilitation core group” from the training will be invited to become part of a KSRE facilitation training team to share the training with other extension professionals and ultimately external organizations.

• To apply, go to https://www.ksre.k-state.edu/community/leadership/facilitation/.

For questions, contact any member of the KSRE Administrative Facilitation team including Wade Weber, Carla Nemecek, Jason Hartman, Chris Onstad and Trudy Rice, trice@ksu.edu.
