How (and Why) to Create a Commercial Kitchen in Your Community

Submitted by Nancy Daniels

First Friday Commercial Kitchens

On Friday, April 1, at 9:30 a.m., our First Friday e-Call topic will be “How (and Why) to Create a Commercial Kitchen in Your Community.” Gary Satter, director of the Glacial Hills RCD, will tell how they created a Commercial Kitchen.

Other participants will add their experiences and perspectives:

• Alex Leslie, Morland Mercantile Kitchen
• Lea Ann Seiler, Hodgeman County Kitchen
• Rick McNary, Founder, Shop Kansas Farms, with 153,000 subscribers

Food and Farm Activist Rick McNary says, “There are a LOT of people who want to live rural, become "farmers" or sell farm products, and added value is the only way, and a profitable way, for them to be successful. A commercial kitchen is a must for them.”

This call is open to the public; please forward this information to anyone who would benefit. Registration is required.
