FRM PFT Awarded Group Capacity Building Scholarship
The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning® (AFCPE®), has awarded the Family Resource Management Program Focus Team a Group Capacity Building Scholarship for 2023. AFCPE® scholarships focus on building capacity and reducing inequality to ensure that all people, regardless of income or background, have access to the highest standards for financial counseling and education.
The purpose of the group capacity building scholarships is to equip employees with the knowledge and skills to build confidence, increase organizational capacity, and create lasting impact in the communities where they live and work.
The award to the FRM PFT will support Joy Miller, K-State Research and Extension Johnson County; and Renae Riedy, K-State Research and Extension Chisholm Trail District; as they pursue the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) certification. AFCPE®’s comprehensive certification and training programs represent the gold standard for financial counseling, coaching, and education, including the AFC® certification which is accredited by the NCCA and nationally recognized by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Department of Defense.
