May is Mental Health Awareness Month - Join in Our Social Media Campaign!

Submitted by Madelyn Wahl

Mental Health Ribbon

Yesterday marked the first day of Mental Health Awareness Month. To promote the month, the KSRE Stress and Resiliency Team will be rolling out a social media campaign on its Facebook page for the entire month of May. The themed posts for this campaign were created to spread awareness, reduce stigma, and learn ways to improve our mental health and well-being. Our team would love for your team to join us in this campaign!

The Stress and Resiliency Team began posting Mental Health Awareness Month content on May 1. You can share these posts directly from our Facebook page to your own county/district pages by visiting us at www.facebook.com/KSRE.Stress.Management. You can also find all the content on the KSRE Resources Microsoft Team page in a file named "2023 Mental Health Awareness Month" (for easier access, click on this direct link: https://bit.ly/3N5KXUG). Also included in the file is a content calendar, which has been pinned at the top of the folder, detailing when each post will be featured on our Facebook page throughout the month of May.

Posts will include informational statistics that shed light on the state of mental health in Kansas as well as the state of mental health on a national level. Following the eye-opening statistics will be bits of information surrounding mental health and some valuable resources from Mental Health America.

We hope you join us in promoting Mental Health Awareness Month by sharing these posts that will offer our communities much-needed mental health information and resources.

If you have any questions, please contact Rachael Clews, rclews@ksu.edu, or Madelyn Wahl,  mewahl@ksu.edu. If you would like any of the posts converted into the correct sizing for Instagram, please reach out to Madelyn.
