Johannes Selected for Regional Award
Elaine Johannes, the Kansas Health Foundation Distinguished Professor in Community Health and a State Extension Specialist, is the recipient of the North Central Region’s 2023 Excellence in Extension Award. This award recognizes Cooperative Extension professionals who excel at Extension programming, make a positive impact on constituents served, and provide visionary leadership for the system.
With a career in Extension spanning more than 30 years, Johannes is a recognized leader and ally for the health and well-being of vulnerable people. Read the full announcement and learn more about her accomplishment here.
As the North Central Region award winner, Johannes is now a nominee to receive the National Excellence in Extension Award sponsored by the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy and USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture. Congratulations Professor Johannes!
