Shout Out: Paula Baccus
This week's Shout Out comes from Cade Rensink, Central Kansas District Director, and is sent for Paula Baccus, Office Professional in the Minneapolis office. Cade writes:
"I want to send a shout out to Paula Baccus, Central Kansas District Office Professional in the Minneapolis office.
Simply Produce was launched in the district in May 2022 with somewhat of a “soft start.” Unfortunately, after only two distributions and a short break for county fair season, we were left without an FCS agent. However, rather than let the program sit idle until a new agent could be hired, Paula took it upon herself to jumpstart things for September by coordinating the orders at the local grocer, organizing the delivery and sorting at the cooperating church and managing the volunteer runners when needed.
Much to the delight of the community, she kept Simply Produce operations running smoothly and effectively for the next five months until our new FCS agent came on board. Fast forward to today, Paula has continued to assist with program logistics and is quick to remind folks - wherever she is – to get signed up by the monthly deadline.
It should also be noted, not only did Paula keep the program alive during the interim, but her commitment and excitement has helped increase the number of bundles going out the door by over 60%!"
