Rollover, End of Year, and System Shut Down Updates
Submitted by McKenzie Zimmermann
The end of the 2022-2023 program year will be here before you know it. With that in mind, here are a few dates and pieces of information regarding the new 2023-2024 program year.
- Rollover (System Shut Down) will begin September 21, and will re-open on October 1. This is quite a bit longer than in previous years, but we will be updating the back end of this system quite a bit and in order to do a thorough job, the system will need to be shut down longer than normal. More information about what will be modified will be shared at the August 29 New Year Kickoff.
- End of Prep will need to begin earlier than normal. I advise starting this process as soon as your county fairs conclude. If you have questions about what this process entails, do not fret - there are resources!
- End-of-Year Prep document. To locate this document on the web, please follow the steps below. If you wish to locate this document on teams, please visit 4-H Online Support Teams (General > Files > Resources Folder > End of Year Prep for Rollover 4HO document)
- Navigate to our main webpage > kansas4-h.org
- Select the Resources tab either in the top ribbon or the left navigation box
- Click the drop-down arrow next to the "Staff Resources" link
- The third option down is "4-H Online Resources," select that link
- Select "Additional Password Protected Staff Resources" near the bottom of the webpage
- Scroll down until you see the header titled "End of Year Requirements." At the end of this paragraph, there is a hyperlink titled End-Of-Year-Prep for Rollover.
- Select that link
- State 4-H Staff
- End-of-Year Prep training - August 11, from 10 to 11 a.m. via Zoom.
The State 4-H staff are excited about the changes that are in store. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding when it comes to the longer shutdown period. If you have questions, please contact McKenzie Zimmermann via email at mlzim@ksu.edu.
