Shout Out: Local Food Roundtable Facilitators and Hosts

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

This Shout Out comes from Rebecca McMahon, Local Food System Program Administrator, and is sent for the KSRE Facilitation Team members and local agents that helped with planning and holding all of the Local Food Community Roundtables! Rebecca writes:

"A huge THANK YOU to all of the KSRE Facilitation Team members and local agents that helped with planning and holding all of our Local Food Community Roundtables! Special recognition goes to Deborah Kohl for her support in developing the facilitation plan and recruiting facilitators. Without everyone’s participation and support, we could not have held these roundtables that were full of rich conversations and ideas from Kansans all across the state.

The Facilitators that kept us talking and recording all the ideas: Deborah Kohl, Robin Eubank-Callis, Cade Rensick, Kyler Langvardt, Candis Meerpohl, Patsy Maddy, Anne Pitts, Laurie Carr, Kate Schoenberg, Chuck Laughlin, Tara Markley, Frances Graves, Clara Wicoff, Jan Steen, and Becky Reid.

The local hosts that kept us fed and took the lead recruiting participants: Andrea Burns, Kaitlin Moore, Kaitlin Hildebrand, Kelsey Hatesol, Wade Reh, Taylor Ziegelmeier, Ashley Svaty, Janelle VanKooten, Jason Graves, Laurie Carr, Rebecca McFarland, Anthony Reardon, Tara Markley, Frances Graves, Clara Wicoff, Katherine Pinto, Chuckie Hessong, Christina Holmes, and all the local unit office professionals that helped with details.

I’m sure I have forgotten someone, but please know that we are so appreciative of everyone who added these local food roundtables to your already busy November schedules this fall."

Local food roundtable facilitators and hosts, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.

If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu.

Shout Outs are submitted in the order they are received.
