Celebrate K-State MANRRS Week, February 5-9

Join the K-State Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences, or MANRRS, chapter February 5-9 to celebrate spring 2024 MANRRS Week.

All week, K-State MANRRS will partner with the XIX Mortar Board Honorary Society and Kappa Pi Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to host a food and winter clothing drive, February 5-9, for Cats' Cupboard. Please drop off canned goods, hygiene products and non-perishable foods to 44 Waters Hall.

The following are the activities throughout MANRRS Week:

Yesterday, February 5, MANRRS hosted a coffee hour with Cargill from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Free coffee and donuts were provided.

Today, February 6, join K-State MANRRS, the Diversity Programs Office, College of Agriculture Ambassadors and Ag Student Council for the 14th "Growing our Mindset" Diversity Forum with John Niemann. The forum will discuss the importance and purpose of diversity in the workplace starting at 4:30 p.m. in the K-State Student Union, Wildcat Chamber.

Wednesday, February 7, join K-State MANRRS for a general body meeting featuring Cargill. The meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. in Room 41 of Waters Hall. Food and drink will be provided.

Thursday, February 8, K-State MANRRS will participate in the Career Center's Employer Pitch Nights for Ag/Natural Resources and Life Sciences starting at 5:30 p.m. Visit Handshake to sign up.

K-State MANRRS will finish the week on February 9 with a diversity and membership awareness tabling session featuring representatives from The U.S. Department of Agriculture. The group will be tabling from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the K-State Student Union. Please stop by and talk with us.
