Shout Out: Denise Bindrum
This week the Shout Out is from Sara Erickson, Sedgwick County Extension Financial Manager; and is sent for Denise Bindrum, Sedgwick County Extension Office Professional. Sara writes:
"I would like to give a great big shout out to Denise Bindrum, receptionist for Sedgwick County Extension. She is the face and voice of Sedgwick County Extension and portrays such a positive image of our facility. Denise knows just about everything about anything, from Radon tests and soil tests to how to find just the right publication for our customers. She always knows where to direct callers within our office and, if we cannot help them, she will provide information on agencies that may be able to assist them. She keeps up to date with available publications and upcoming programs and classes that we offer. There is almost no question she cannot answer. By far one of her most exceptional qualities is that she remains positive even when encountered by the most difficult customers.
I step in occasionally to fill in for her when she is away from her desk, and I find that I cannot begin to fill her shoes. On the rare occasion when she takes time off work, she is truly missed by our customers, our agents and staff, and our Master Gardeners.
Thank you, Denise, for all you do! You are truly the best of the best."
