K-State MANRRS Chapter Brings Home Various National Awards

Delegation

The K-State College of Agriculture Diversity Programs Office (DPO) and Minorities in Agriculture Natural Resources and Related Sciences Chapter (MANRRS) would like to highlight our attendance at the National MANRRS Conference and Career Expo, March 20-24, in Chicago, IL. Dr. Zelia Wiley, Assistant Dean and K-State MANRRS Advisor, Summer Santillana, DPO Coordinator, Dr. Lonnie Hobbs Jr., Co-Advisor, and Dr. Dan Moser, Associate Dean, accompanied a delegation of 21 students, that represented K-State at the national conference. This year, the student delegation also included 2 K-State JR MANRRS Students, William Clark and Seraiah Howard, sponsored and accompanied by CEO and President of Kansas Black Farmers Association, Dr. JohnElla Holmes.

There were more than 1800 attendees at the conference. Thank you to John Deere Co., Anderson Inc., Ardent Mills, FMC, and Cargill for their partnership and sponsorship of the chapter. The delegation competed during the conference, and we brought home various national awards.
