Shout Out: Karen Blakeslee

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

This week the Shout Out is from Londa Nwadike, State Extension Food Safety Specialist; and is sent for Karen Blakeslee, Rapid Response Center Coordinator. Londa writes:

"I want to give a big shout out to Karen Blakeslee. In addition to all of the other things that she does -- putting out a monthly newsletter, answering questions through the Food Rapid Response Center, co-director of the Kansas Value Added Foods lab, being an active member of many teams and grant projects, leading our KSRE home food preservation efforts, and so many other things -- Karen also does an amazing job of maintaining our KSRE food safety (and I know other) websites. It often seems that Karen almost instantaneously updates things on our website for us, which is amazing and GREATLY appreciated! Karen does so much for KSRE, the state of Kansas, and the entire North Central region. Thanks so much Karen for all that you do!"

Karen, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.

If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu.

Shout Out submissions are published in the order they are received.
