The National Extension Framework for Health Equity and Well-being recommends using community development strategies and health literacy programs to ensure that everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible. The following resources help us improve well-being for all, and achieve Healthy Kansas 2030 and Healthy People 2030 objectives.

Let Kansas Health Matters (KHM) Know What You Think:  The Kansas Health Matters partners (which include KSRE) invite you to complete a 5min survey about the Kansas Health Matters website by Aug. 21. Even if you've hardly used Kansas Health Matters, we need your input to better understand who uses the website, what aspects are most helpful, and how it can be improved. Individual responses to the survey will not be identified. The survey is here: Kansas Health Matters Website Feedback (qualtrics.com)

School Immunization Requirements: The Immunize Kansas Coalition (IKC) shares up-to-date immunization requirements and recommendations for the upcoming school year in Kansas on this fact sheet:  Kansas School (Kindergarten through Grade 12) Immunization Requirements for 2024-2025 School Year

The current recommended and minimum interval immunization schedules are found at: www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/hcp/child-adolescent.html. The best disease prevention is achieved by adhering to the recommended schedule. However, if a child falls behind, the minimum interval schedule is implemented. The Jefferson County Health Department prepared this Immunization Requirements Cheat Sheet for the 2024-2025 School Year (School Bus Document) for parents, school nurses, teachers, health officers, families and friends. 2024-2025 School Bus Document (Spanish)

Upcoming Health Conferences and Meetings: Extension professionals, volunteers and stakeholders are invited to attend any of the following health events:
