New Application Details Conservation Assistance Programs

Submitted by Melissa Harvey

There is a new tool available to help agents, landowners, and producers identify available technical assistance programs. The tool is called the “Conservation Assistance Directory,” and it was created and launched by the Kansas Water Office earlier this summer.

The GIS application showcases programs from many governmental, non-profit, and private entities. It features an interactive map that shows financial and technical assistance programs across the state, conservation programs organized by region, conservation programs organized by goals, and information on whom to contact or how to apply.

The application is available through an online link. Those interested can also find it on the Kansas Water Office website under the “News & Events” tab.
