HAPp Works Pilot Information Session!
Submitted by Stephanie Gutierrez
Mark October 8th on Your Calendar for the HAPp Works Pilot Information Session!
We are excited to announce the launch of HAPp Works, a new worksite wellness pilot program focused on the awareness and prevention of hypertension. This 8-week program is designed for employees 18 years and older and provides tools and resources to support heart health.
Hypertension remains a significant health challenge in the U.S., contributing to the growing burden of cardiovascular disease. With nearly half of American adults diagnosed with hypertension, the impact extends beyond healthcare into the workplace, affecting both productivity and overall well-being.
The goal of HAPp Works is to foster a collaborative learning environment where employees can engage in heart-health education. By partnering with employers, we aim to bring meaningful, health-focused learning directly into the workplace, empowering participants with the knowledge and tools to manage their blood pressure and improve their overall heart health.
We are able to support 8 pilot sites in 2025. To participate as a pilot site, Healthy Heart Ambassador (HHA) Coach training is required and must be completed by December 2024. For more information about the HHA program or questions about training, please contact Elaine Johannes.
Important Reminder: The 4-month traditional HAPp is still fully supported. Agents who are already planning to implement the traditional HAPp should continue as intended. The introduction of HAPp Works is an exciting opportunity, but it is not meant to replace or interfere with traditional HAPp efforts.
