Shout Out: Anthony Reardon
This week the Shout Out is from Amanda Lindahl, Local Food System Program Coordinator; and is sent for Anthony Reardon, Johnson County Horticulture and Small Farms Agent. Amanda writes:
"Shout out to Anthony Reardon, Johnson County Horticulture and Small Farms Agent. Anthony stepped up to join the planning committee for the Great Plains Growers Conference this year which is a quad state conference focusing on specialty crops. I was impressed with Anthony for taking on the responsibility to work with extension colleagues from across Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas to facilitate the event. In addition, Anthony organized a special pre-conference workshop day focusing on nut orchards that brought new and intriguing content to the schedule. I heard from several participants that really enjoyed the opportunity to learn about chestnuts, pecans, black walnuts and more. Cheers to stepping up and bringing new learning opportunities to our regional growers!"
Anthony -- thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
