Submitted by Extension Administration
Client Services and K-State Research and Extension are pleased to announce that Matthew Von Busch-Smith will be providing desktop support for K-State Research and Extension administrative offices in Umberger Hall and KSRE offices in Northeast Kansas. Before joining K-State on January 21, Matthew was in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years (active duty) and the U.S. Army for 4 years (active duty) and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He also worked for British Aerospace Systems as a level 3 Optical Technician and later was transferred to be the sole site Technical Instructor. In these positions, Matthew learned how to be a leader, teach others, and advance his technical knowledge across multiple platforms.
Currently Matthew is in training to learn more about the systems we support. Once he is acclimated, he will travel to the county and district offices in northeast Kansas to meet with staff and learn more about the offices. Matthew has earned an associate degree and bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from DeVry University graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is from Manhattan, Kansas. Beginning January 21, Matthew will be housed in UM 113. His email is vonbuschsmith@ksu.edu.
Please join us in welcoming Matthew to K-State and K-State Research and Extension.
