Season of Gratitude
Thanksgiving is a time to pause, enjoy family, and maybe sneak an extra serving of dessert.
I hope it will also be an opportunity to reflect on the incredible work you have accomplished together. Through this work, we have had tough conversations, celebrated successes, and strengthened partnerships that make a real difference in our Kansas communities.
It is no secret that I am looking forward to having family home for Thanksgiving, because the house will feel alive again with my people. Busy fall schedules have kept us going in different directions, so I am ready to relax, laugh, and soak up every moment with them.
It is that same sense of connection that reminds me why our work matters, because at its core, extension is about people and relationships.
As we head into the holiday season, I hope you take time to slow down, enjoy your family, and recharge because you have earned it. Every day in your local unit matters: building relationships, solving problems, and helping communities thrive.
Looking ahead to 2026, we have exciting opportunities to continue that momentum with more leadership, stronger community connections, and innovative ways to partner with Kansas State University. You are truly making a difference, and I am grateful for this amazing K-State Extension team.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
