Remote Work Wednesday on December 10 – Rural Education Center and Cyber Pipeline

Submitted by Ron Wilson

Dr. Nathan Bean

K-State’s Rural Education Center is launching a new initiative to connect rural schools and communities through computer science education. This will involve teachers from 10 elementary schools across the state. December’s Remote Work Wednesday program will explain this program and the implications for potential remote work for students and communities. In the spirit of One K-State, our speakers will be Dr. Karen Eppley, director of the Rural Education Center in the K-State College of Education, and Dr. Nathan Bean, coordinator of the Cyber Pipeline program in the Computer Science department.

Remote Work Wednesday is held on the second Wednesday of each month. The purpose is to explore the opportunities and challenges of remote work.

To register, go to https://ksre-learn.com/remote-work. Participation is free. Everyone is invited to join.
