Submitted by Sandy Johnson

The Livestock Program Focus Team invites all agents to join two upcoming Zoom trainings:

  • July 9, 2 p.m. – Fall Forage Options for Cattle – Jaymelynn Farney. Planting forage crops for fall grazing can provide multiple benefits. Jaymelynn will discuss considerations in choosing cover crops when grazing will be a part of the management plan.

As cow/calf producers experience greater profitability they are also considering changes that may improve pasture utilization. Bob Gillen will summarize an extensive literature review on grazing strategies and their conclusions based on the experimental evidence.
