2016 Women Managing the Farm Conference
The Women Managing the Farm Conference is scheduled for February 4-5, 2016 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhattan. The goal of the conference is to prepare modern agricultural women with the resources to enable them to utilize and manage their farm interests effectively. No matter the amount of knowledge or involvement in agriculture, Women Managing the Farm builds upon the active roles women play in all aspects of financial and risk management of the farm while also addressing the unique dynamics of the agricultural operation and the household.
During the two days of the conference, presentations regarding business planning, health, managing employees and more will be interspersed with opportunities for networking and learning from other attendees. For more information, visit www.womenmanagingthefarm.info.
Extension offices will be receiving promotional bookmarks to share with women who may have an interest in attending Women Managing the Farm. There is also the opportunity to submit proposals for breakout sessions. The deadline for submitting suggestions is October 2, 2015 with final decisions made by November 15.
