Roberta Riportella Accepts Leadership Position at Oregon State University
It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that Dr. Roberta Riportella, KSRE's Kansas Health Foundation Professor of Community Health, has accepted a position at Oregon State University (Corvallis) to be Associate Dean of Outreach and Engagement and Leader of their Extension’s Family and Community Health Program in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.
Dr. Riportella has been a valued member of the KSRE team for the past three years, leading us in our Health Extension work. This has included working closely with other KSU faculty, faculty from KU Med Center, the Kansas Health Foundation, and many others. Her guidance during a time of great challenges in understanding the new Affordable Care Act and general health insurance literacy has placed Kansas Extension in the forefront in this important area. While she will be greatly missed, we wish her the best as she moves into an exciting position of Extension leadership at OSU.
