Soil Health and Vegetable Crops Training for Agents

Submitted by Megan Kennelly

The two spring 2016 workshops about "Soil Health Bootcamp and Applications to Vegetable Production" are coming up in May. The project website now has most of the details, including tentative agendas for each of the two dates/locations: http://www.soilhealthbootcamp.com/.

There are three parts of this program: (1) introductory webinars (available now!); (2) hands-on workshops; (3) optional online learning community to explore topics in more detail. The program team is Megan Kennelly (Plant Pathology), Cary Rivard and Kim Oxley (Horticulture, Forestry, and Recreation Resources), DeAnn Presley (Agronomy), and Raymond Cloyd (Entomology). The project is sponsored by North Central SARE.

The workshops are free and include snacks and lunch. We know that travel budgets may have been cut. But, there is good news! To cover your mileage/travel, you can apply to the KSU SARE Program. A link is provided on the website above.

Please explore the website, and if you have any further questions, feel free to contact me by phone, 785-532-1387, or email kennelly@ksu.edu.
