Senator Dole Receives Lifetime Achievement Award for Service to Rural Kansas
The Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Senator Bob Dole for service to rural Kansas. Senator Dole was a great champion of rural Kansas throughout his 36 years in Congress. He was presented the award on September 16 at the Kansas Department of Agriculture after he visited Dole Hall on the K-State campus. More than 120 rural Kansas leaders participated in the event.
Senator Nancy Kassebaum Baker and emeritus K-State agricultural economics professor Barry Flinchbaugh joined in a panel discussion with Senator Dole prior to him receiving the award. To see the video, go to https://mediasite.k-state.edu/mediasite/Play/73e65a11c7db4aa1ac2f3bc76a0122a91d.
