Diversity Programs Office Update
The Diversity Programs Office would like to share some information about recent and/or upcoming events involving the office:
• This morning, the K-State Chapter of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) set up a booth for Encuentro explaining what MANRRS is all about and what benefits students can enjoy when they become part of the student organization.
• The K-State Chapter of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) will be attending the regional conference this weekend at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. The following students will be participating in the conference: Cameron Bradshaw, Shakyra Everett, Shelbi Hill, Kenyanna Jones, Me’Quelle Keeling, Lain Littlejohn, Adriana Meneses, Keith Mentnech, DJ Springfield, Skylar Stephens, Elisa Trigo, Diana Vasquez, and Frantina Williams and co-advisors Phil LeBlanc and Dr. Terri Blackmon will also attend.
• Congratulations to Navigating Difference Training Class X for successfully completing the training. The Navigating Difference Training was held on September 28 and 29 and is being offered by K-State Research and Extension. It is designed to assist Extension professionals expand their skills in working with diverse audiences. The training was held in Manhattan at the Douglass Community Center. The instructors for the training were Charlotte Shoup Olsen and Nozella L Brown.
