Diversity Programs Office Update
The Diversity Programs Office (DPO) in the College of Agriculture is dedicated to providing and promoting leadership opportunities, understanding, goodwill, diversity and friendship among students, staff and faculty in the College of Agriculture and K-State Research and Extension. Read below to find out more about the activities and events that help us implement the office’s mission:
• The K-State MANRRS Chapter is hosting “MANRRS Week” this week. Please join us at the events listed below:
Tuesday, April 11 – F.I.T. Closet Clothing & Essentials Donation Drive
Donation Table will be located on Waters Hall Lawn from 2 - 4 p.m. We will also be accepting items in Waters Hall 139, April 12 – April 21. Please donate new or gently used items: Socks, Underwear, K-State Gear, Toiletry Items, and School Supplies.
The F.I.T. Closet and Clothing Exchange is USD 383’s means of providing many of the necessary essentials (e.g. school supplies, shoes, clothing, coats, toiletries, hygiene products, laundry detergent as well as emergency food) so children can attend class and integrate successfully. Last year, USD 383 served over 300 homeless children by the end of the school year.
Wednesday, April 12 – Get to Know MANRRS Game Night
Located in 137 Waters Hall at 6 - 7 p.m.
Thursday, April 13 – MANRRS Bake Sale
Located in the Student Union at 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Friday, April 14 – Bowling with MANRRS
Located at Union Bowling Alley from 8 - 10 p.m.
Saturday, April 15 – Rocking the Block with MANRRS
Habitat for Humanity from 12 - 2 p.m.
