Thank You from Daryl Buchholz
My sincere thanks to all my friends and colleagues for the outpouring of letters, cards, emails, social media posts, and other expressions of congratulations in my retiring as your associate director for Extension and applied research. I am especially thankful for those who made a donation to your professional associations in support of professional development opportunities. I’ve been truly blessed and delighted to have had the opportunity to serve in this leadership role at Kansas State University. It is all of you who have made it such a great experience.
I also want to express my thanks to all who played a role in making the retirement celebration such a wonderful experience for Joyce and I and all our family. Thanks to Dorothy Doan, Maria Sweet, Susie Wilkinson, Sue Robinson, Laurie Chandler, and Stacey Warner for planning the event. Thanks to Dave Nichols and the AS&I Department for allowing it to happen at the Stanley Stout Center. Thanks to Eric Atkinson for providing his talent as MC for the program. And, thanks to Dan Donnert for capturing the event on video for my mother to later watch since she could not attend in person.
