"Local Unit Director Basics" Workshop to be Held
A “Local Unit Director Basics” workshop will be held at the K-State Polytechnic campus in Salina from 1 p.m. on Monday, October 29, to 12 noon on Wednesday, October 31. The workshop is designed for anyone with local unit director responsibilities but will be primarily targeted to those who are new to the role in the past two years. Anyone else who is interested is welcome to attend.
Topics will include developing and managing budgets, strengthening Extension board relationships, hiring and coaching personnel, creating an office team, and identifying resources for the director role.

Presenters will include Jim Lindquist, Laurie Chandler, Stacey Warner and several current directors.
