2019 K-State Leadership Seminar is April 2
“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” This quote has been attributed to both President Abraham Lincoln and management guru Peter Drucker. It suggests that we have the ability to shape and design our own future. The 2019 K-State Leadership Seminar is intended to help K-State faculty and staff and others acquire vision and tools to exercise their leadership in a way which can constructively shape our future direction.
“Leadership by Design: Creating our Future” is the theme of the 2019 seminar. Speakers include nationally-known presenter John Branstad, K-State Dean of Architecture, Planning and Design Tim de Noble, Associate Provost Brian Niehoff, Dean of Global Campus Karen Pedersen, Assistant Vice President for Student Life Stephanie Bannister, Board of Regents Chair Dennis Mullin, State Commissioner of Education Randy Watson, K-State President Richard Myers, and more. They will provide perspective on our future direction to help us make choices for the future. As William Shakespeare wrote, “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” Many thanks to Wade Weber and others on the planning committee. Team discounts on registration are available. Register by March 18 for a discount at www.k-state.edu/leadershipseminar.
