Shout Out from Deanna Turner to Anne Pitts and Ryan Flaming
This week’s Shout Out is from the River Valley District’s Deanna Turner and is extended to Harvey County’s Anne Pitts and Ryan Flaming.
“K-State Research & Extension is truly a family. Thanks to Anne Pitts and Ryan Flaming, Harvey County KSRE Agents. I was flying out of the Wichita airport in January for a Farm Stress Management workshop in Lansing, Michigan. My flight had been delayed several times and finally was cancelled for the day.
I was in the ticket line trying to find another flight. I was behind Ryan and Anne. They were headed to the same conference and said that we could get our flights scheduled for the same time. I had no car so they dropped me off at a motel and picked me up the next morning for our flight out. We flew to Denver to Michigan and Anne rented and drove a car to Lansing. Thanks to Anne and Ryan for being very caring co-workers and making the trip a joyful journey.”
Having each other’s backs is part of being great colleagues. Thanks Anne and Ryan for helping your colleague Deanna's conference travel a little better!
If you know of a colleague or colleagues who deserves a Shout Out, email their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
