Shout out: Kevin Block
A huge thanks to Kevin Block for his 20 years of service to K-State Research and Extension and, specifically, the K-State Radio Network. Kevin retired at the end of June after serving as the engineer/technology expert for the News Media Services team. If you’ve ever heard Eric Atkinson’s radio program, “Agriculture Today,” it’s because Kevin ensured the broadcast could be picked up by radio stations around the state. If you’ve attended a Master Farmer/Master Farm Homemaker ceremony and enjoyed the slideshows and videos, it’s because Kevin set up the system and made sure everything could be seen and heard. And if you’ve ever worked with the News Media Services team, you’ve been helped in numerous ways by Kevin’s behind-the-scenes support to make sure the communicators could communicate.
Thank you, Kevin for all of your diligence and dedication to excellence. You may not like the spotlight, but you certainly have earned it. Enjoy retirement – you’ve DEFINITELY earned it, too!
