Shout Out: Aaron Yoder
This week’s Shout Out comes from Eva Peterson of our Kansas Forest Service and is extended to her teammate, Aaron Yoder:
“I would like to nominate Aaron Yoder, Conservation Tree Specialist, for the Shout Out Recognition. Aaron went above and beyond his job duties to recognize a safety hazard, and he stepped up and corrected the situation.
Kansas Forest Service and Motor Pool share the same entrances and exit. The walkway to and from the Arboretum and Greenhouse as well as the vehicle thoroughfare to the Motor Pool had a blind corner. The blind spot was created by the growth of shrubs. One afternoon, Aaron cleared the necessary shrubs to allow walkers and vehicle traffic to see both ways before getting to the intersection.
Aaron has shown his true compassion for the safety of his fellow employees and all that use the motor pool. I feel his concern for the safety and the initiative to take action should be recognized. This is the type of team member I want on my team.”
Aaron, thanks for all that you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or colleagues that deserve a Shout Out, please send me their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
