Virtual Training Offered for Extension Agents

Submitted by Melissa Harvey

Exclusively for county agents, this workshop series on the water quality impacts of livestock operations and grazing management will provide overviews on a variety of key issues related to livestock operations. Different experts will present on topics including confined and non-confined feeding site selection and planning, intensive grazing systems, watering systems, and fence systems and management.

Each online training will feature a live presentation by the day's speaker, followed by an open discussion forum with watershed specialists, livestock Extension agents and other experts available to answer questions or offer additional knowledge. Different trainings will be offered on five days in May: May 5, May 7, May 8, May 12 and May 13. The one-hour sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m.

This training is organized by KCARE and Natural Resources PFT. For more information about this training series, please contact Shannon Blocker, sblocker@ksu.edu; or Aleksey Sheshukov, ashesh@ksu.edu.
