Submitted by Nancy Daniels

COVID-19

On Friday, May 1, at 9:30 a.m., the First Friday call will focus on Local Responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our speakers are Heather Hartman, Beloit Economic Development Director; and Tara Vance, Executive Director at Norton County Community Foundation. Included in their topics: Online grocery shopping, non-profit grants, business gift card programs. After their presentation, K-State Research and Extension Specialists will share best practices to keep your retail products, store and staff safe when your store re-opens.

During Sharing:
• Michael Aumack, SBA Economic Development Specialist & Public Information Officer; will update us on the status of SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program and Debt Relief Programs.
• Dr. Sheryl Boyer offers this resource for your immediate use: Online Sales with Touchless Transactions for Main Street businesses.
• A statewide database of COVID-19 resources by Chris Harris, Senior Program Officer – Entrepreneurship, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
