Nominations Open for Communicator of the Year

Submitted by Linda Gilmore

Do you know an exceptionally good communicator who consistently conveys K-State Research and Extension information to the public and to the media? Consider nominating him or her as one of the 2020 Communicators of the Year. This award is given by the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education and Kansas Chapter of Association for Communication Excellence (ACE) annually at the K-State Research and Extension Annual Conference. This year we are giving two awards to excellent communicators: one to a faculty member, Extension specialist, or researcher (often tenure-track positions), either on campus or in one of the area offices or researcher centers; and one to a non-tenure-track Extension agent, Extension associate or assistant, or unclassified professional, either on campus or in an county or district Extension office.

More information and a link to the nomination form is available at https://www.ksre.k-state.edu/employee_resources/annualconference/2020awards.html.

Contact Linda Gilmore, committee chair, at lindagi@ksu.edu or 785-532-1153 for more information and a nomination form. The deadline to submit a nomination is August 10.
