Kansas 4-H Foundation to Relocate Office

Submitted by Jake Worcester

Jake Worcester

The Kansas 4-H Foundation will be relocating its headquarters from Umberger Hall to an off-campus location this fall.

In a process that has unfolded over the last 18 months, the Board of Trustees has considered the direction of the Foundation, the focus of the Board, and the priorities related to our vision to continue to grow the Foundation's impact. One of the recommendations coming out of that assessment process was to consider relocating the office to space that:

  • is more conducive to the work of hosting donors
  • better conveys the professional nature of the organization
  • provides quality collaboration space for our team
  • frees space for K-State Research and Extension in Umberger Hall

Last December, the board voted unanimously to explore potential spaces, and in April the board voted unanimously to pursue a specific option that staff developed for their consideration.

That option has proven successful and the Foundation will be relocating to 1680 Charles Place. The targeted relocation date is October 1.

We look forward to inviting our KSRE family to see the space and join us for a visit when we have moved in. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact me at jworcester@kansas4hfoundation.org.
