Research Updates
Results of the 2020 Kansas Performance Tests with Winter Wheat Varieties available online. Trials were conducted at 17 locations across Kansas under dryland and irrigated conditions. The impacts of weather, diseases, insects, and other factors are included in the report. The Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station annually compares both new and currently grown varieties in the state’s major crop-producing areas. These performance tests generate unbiased performance information designed to help Kansas growers select wheat varieties suited for their area and conditions.
The 2020 Southwest Research-Extension Field Day report is available online. Research topics include the 2019 growing season of forage, tillage systems, crop rotations, dryland, irrigation, weed control, fertilizer applications, sorghum, corn, and wheat.
