Shout Out: Lexie Hayes
This week's Shout Out is sent by Animal Science specialist Joel DeRouchey, and is sent to Lexie Hayes, Animal Science Youth Livestock Coordinator. Joel writes:
"I want to give a massive “shout out” to Lexie Hayes, Animal Science Youth Livestock Coordinator, for the dedication, organization and enthusiasm to host the State 4-H Livestock Sweepstakes virtually August 22-23. While this event takes a large number of dedicated volunteers, contest superintendents, IT support, and partnerships with state 4-H and sponsors to make this event happen, every detail of the weekend event and all communication goes through Lexie. The amount of extra effect that she spent to initially host in-person and then pivoting to all virtual is nothing short of amazing to pull off within a few weeks.
The value Lexie brings to the KSRE system and impact on Kansas youth is highly noticeable and appreciated."
Lexie, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve a Shout Out, please send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
