Shout Out: Eric Atkinson
This week's Shout Out comes to us from Mary Lou Peter and is directed to Eric Atkinson. Mary Lou wrote:
“I’m submitting a Shout Out for Eric Atkinson, professor, radio specialist and agriculture director of the K-State Radio Network.
Eric produces Agriculture Today, an hour-long radio program, five days a week that’s streamed live online and broadcast throughout most of Kansas and parts of Oklahoma, Colorado and Nebraska. The program features information from K-State agricultural researchers, specialists and other experts examining issues facing Kansas, the nation and the world.
Eric also produces a weekly audio feature series covering agriculture, forestry, and wildlife management which is made available to commercial radio stations and other media.
Through 38 years of Agriculture Today, Eric has been conveying messages showcasing K-State Research and Extension expertise to an incalculable number of listeners across the region. We, as a system and university are in your debt. Thank you, Eric! “
Eric, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, our colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension! I feel I must also give you a Shout Out within a Shout Out for all those times you made even the Director for Extension sound good on the radio. Obviously, you and your interviewing skills can make the impossible possible.
