Shout Out: The Swine Across Kansas Team
K-State Research and Extension Douglas County agent Mallory Meek wants to give her teammates on the Swine Across Kansas Team a Shout Out. Mallory wrote:
“The Swine Across Kansas Team is made up of extension professionals in numerous counties. Patsy Maddy and Jenilee Godsey of Twin Creeks District, Molly Maddy of Johnson County, and Mallory Meek of Douglas County.
This team created the Swine Across Kansas webinar series spanning multiple months to help 4-H'ers achieve success in their 4-H swine project. Since the start of the team in February, the Swine Across Kansas Series has hosted two webinars focusing on selecting your show pig and feeding/showmanship featuring multiple industry experts across the state and nation. The team has reached more than 700 participants across 10 states.
The team continues to strive to increase the knowledge of 4-H'ers across the nation. In the future, the team is preparing for more webinars focused on Health and Meat Cuts (May), Fair Prep and Show Day Selection (June) and Swine Production and Careers (August).
We want to thank all the extension offices and KSRE professionals who helped our team spread the word on this program and advertise it to your swine project participants!”
Patsy, Jenilee, Molly and Mallory, too, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve applause for a job well done, why not give them a Shout Out? Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
