Mary Lou Peter Retirement
After 22 years at KSU, Mary Lou Peter, writer and editor in the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education is retiring May 21.
She came back to Kansas and K-State (her alma mater) in 1999 after nine years in the Reuters Chicago Bureau and previous work with a non-profit trade association in California and Knight-Ridder Financial News in Kansas City. Mary Lou wrote hundreds of news releases highlighting K-State Research and Extension programs and services and the past two years, the Better Kansas blog. She served as K-State’s point of contact with the Extension Disaster Education Network and for several years as the adviser to Sigma Alpha and Collegiate Agri-Women.
