Shout Out: Carol Craver and Justine Henderson
This week’s Shout Out comes to us from K-State Research and Extension Central Kansas District’s Cade Rensink and is sent to his colleagues, Carol Craver and Justine Henderson. Cade wrote:

Extension is all about planning, but sometimes we have to adapt on the fly. For the last couple of months, final touches were being put on the annual Central Kansas Classic spring beef show, which was held last weekend. I think we all were assuming we’d have our “normal crowd” that consisted of mainly local families and a few from neighboring counties – at least that’s what the pre-entries were telling us. Come show day, however, we ended up with nearly double the entries of past years.
Carol and Justine did a fantastic job of managing the significant increase – they empowered volunteers, the show still started on time, classes went smoothly, and the judge was more than capable of working with the additional youth. Even though there was plenty of scrambling, the participants just saw our staff as “ducks floating on the water.”
Carol and Justine, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or colleague(s) that deserve accolades for a job well done, why not give them a Shout Out? Simply send me their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
