Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Campaign
Submitted by McKenzie Zimmermann
September is suicide prevention awareness month! To spread awareness about suicide and mental health, the Stress and Resiliency transdisciplinary team has created educational materials to be dispersed throughout the month of September. The materials include three infographics and eleven social media posts.
The content focuses on suicide statistics nationwide and in the state of Kansas, how to recognize the warning signs, and how we can help prevent suicide. Materials can be found on the KSRE resources page on Microsoft teams under the Stress and Resiliency channel in files; it is titled Suicide Prevention Awareness Month materials 2021.
Here is a direct link to the materials in teams: https://bit.ly/38w1awP. Everyone can do their part in preventing suicide and it starts with awareness and education!
