Thank You
Submitted by Robin Eubank-Callis
My mom, Mary Eubank, epitomized the success story Extension was developed to achieve. As a farm wife, she served on the Extension Board. She moved into the role of a project leader and club leader during our early 4-H years. She joined the Fair Board and spent countless hours coordinating and working in concession stands. She credited Extension for teaching her food preservation as a young wife. On the verge of becoming an empty nester, she reached out to KSRE once again to help her evaluate her food products and start the Bluff Creek Kitchen. She shipped Jalapeno Mustard far and wide for nearly 20 years. Thanks to Karen Blakeslee’s Food Judges Training, she agreed to try county fair judging at my request as a county agent.
We will never know the total impact she had through these many roles.
Every card, email, story and donation to the Comanche and Barber County 4-H programs have touched our family. Thank you does not do justice for the depth of my gratitude. The Extension family continues to amaze me. I thank God for your support as we learn how to move forward without my mom. Sincerely, Robin Eubank-Callis
