State 4-H Updates
I wanted to make you aware of some staff transitions occurring in the State 4-H Office. Natalia Suarez, Program Assistant; and Sarah Sullivan, Office Professional; have departed for other opportunities. We wish them well in their new jobs.
Fortunately, Natalia will be contracting with us to manage the Background Checking System until we can fill her position. If you have questions about volunteer background checking, please contact Natalia at her email, nsuarez@ksu.edu.
Sarah’s 4-H Foundation fiscal responsibilities will be covered by Catherine Hickman who is on loan from the Dean of the College of Agriculture’s business office. I want to thank Geneva Jahnke, Budget and Fiscal Officer, for lending Catherine to the State 4-H Office. Catherine will be working in the 4-H Office Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Questions about 4-H Foundation accounts should be directed to Catherine at catherineh@ksu.edu or by telephone at 785-532-5800.
In addition, Shannon Rogge, Program Coordinator, will also be departing for a new job, June 18. In the short-term, Shannon’s responsibilities and other Specialist and Program Coordinator roles will be filled by hiring temporary support staff and student workers, to help bolster the program, project, and regional and state specialist support. As soon as we have contacts in place, we will announce those additional temporary staff and their areas of responsibilities and contact information.
