Communicator of the Year Award Submissions Needed

Submitted by Linda Gilmore

Do you know an exceptionally good communicator who consistently conveys K-State Research and Extension information to the public and to the media? Consider nominating him or her as one of the 2022 Communicators of the Year.

This award is given by the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education and Kansas Chapter of Association for Communication Excellence (ACE) annually at the K-State Research and Extension Annual Conference. We give two awards to excellent communicators: one to a faculty member, extension specialist, or researcher (often tenure-track positions), either on campus or in one of the area offices or research centers; and one to a non-tenure-track extension agent, extension associate or assistant, or unclassified professional, either on campus or in a county or district extension office. Remember, you can nominate someone more than once, as long as they haven't been a recipient. Previous recipients can be found on the departmental website.

More information and a link to the nomination form is available on the annual conference website. Contact Linda Gilmore, committee chair, at lindagi@ksu.edu or 785-532-1153 for more information. The deadline to submit a nomination is Monday, August 15.
