Six 4-H'ers Cross First Hurdle for 4-H International Exchanges

Submitted by Mary Kay Munson

After the State Interviews November 20, and a zoom make up interview, the state interview committee of alumni approved six 4-H members to represent Kansas on exchanges organized by States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs. Their acceptance and placement in an exchange will come after January 15, 2023, the submission date for States’ 4-H. First deposits (which vary with the exchange) are due to States’ 4-H by that date. Kansas’ approved applicants, their extension units, and their first choice of an exchange placement are as follows:

• Zanya Bravo, Golden Prairie District (Oakley), South Korea
• Barrett Dunn, Central District (St. John), Japan--8 weeks
• Rebecca Eflin, Johnson County, Japan--4 weeks
• Isaac Moreno, Cottonwood District (Hays), Japan--4 weeks
• Alexus Rauer, Johnson County, Costa Rica
• Jayla Wyant, Cottonwood District (Great Bend), Japan--4 weeks
