Shout Out: Chandra Plate
This Shout Out comes from Nora Rhoades, Post Rock District Director and Youth Development Agent, and is directed to Chandra Plate, 4-H Regional Specialist. Nora writes:
"I would like to give Chandra Plate, 4-H Regional Specialist, a Shout Out. Chandra's energy is wonderful to be around, and even though she has only been in her role at KSRE for less than nine months, she is someone I look up to and have learned so much from. She works so hard to elevate our commitment to positive youth development.
I had the privilege of helping at the Kansas 4-H Shooting Sports instructor training, and I lost count of the times I just stood back observing her engagement strategies in a room of adult learners while thinking to myself that Kansas is incredibly blessed to have her on our team. She is excellent when working with volunteer advisory teams for state 4-H projects. In her short time with us, she already represents Kansas at the national 4-H level - elevating our voice while at the same time reaffirming we are truly stronger because of our collaboration across the nation.
Peer-to-peer, Chandra has really helped me rediscover my 'why' and that re-connection is priceless. Thanks for being amazing, Chandra! You are greatly appreciated."
Chandra, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserve recognition for a job well done, why not nominate them for a Shout Out. Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ksreshoutout@ksu.edu. Also, it would be very helpful if you would put "Shout Out" in the subject line of the email.
