Shout Out: Marty Gleason
This Shout Out was submitted by Amy Sollock, 4-H Youth Development Specialist in the SW Research-Extension Center, and was sent for Marty Gleason, recently retired from 21 Central District. Amy writes:
"He may technically be retired, but he is still giving his all for Extension in Southwest Kansas. Since retiring earlier this spring, Marty Gleason has been helping part time in Kiowa County while they were without an agent. Not only has he stepped in to keep the office afloat, he has been a great mentor to their office professional, Alli Hosheit, and their new agent, Kami McComb. He has spent these several months working with the extension board to develop a budget and prepare for fall elections. He’s also worked with the 4-H program to make sure they were ready for the busy summer season.
Marty has been a mentor to many over the years, and his positive influence to KSRE continues to be much appreciated."
Marty, thanks for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Research and Extension.
